At Emerald City Comicon 2012, voice actors John DiMaggio, Tar Strong, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen got together to do Star Wars their way. Once we got to the Shatner Threepio and the Walken Artoo I was in stitches. Enjoy.

Star Wars turns 35

Star Wars turns 35

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…. I remember getting an issue of the Star Wars Fan Club newsletter “Bantha Tracks” in May of 1982 saying that Star Wars had turned five years old. The five-year mark is an interesting one because the years go by so fast. Here we are at [...]

Life Trek – Star Trek turns 45 today

Life Trek – Star Trek turns 45 today

It’s hard to believe that Star Trek is 45 years old. Looking back at everything that’s influenced me over the years in a creative sense, it was Star Trek more than anything that drove me as far back as I can remember. My earliest recollection of Star Trek is watching it with my dad in [...]

Sequel to Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” coming

Growing up with an avid interest in astronomy, it was disappointing that there were no television shows about the universe. Oh sure, there was “Nova” and other shows, but they didn’t have the heart or sense of wonder that “Cosmos” had. “Cosmos” was an award winning television show by astronomer Carl Sagan which took the [...]

Current tech catching up to Star Trek

Current tech catching up to Star Trek

Star Trek is the ultimate geek show. Combining science fiction with gadgets and tech, it has become the de facto standard by which all other shows are compared against. In 1966, the technology used in the show seemed far beyond what could be made in the real world. In fact, some people didn’t even have [...]

Possible Final Fantasy XV promo video leaked

Possible Final Fantasy XV promo video leaked

Those of us that are Final Fantasy fans have been waiting on the series of games based on Final Fantasy XIII. While I personally liked FF XIII, some people did not. Admittedly, I didn’t like the linearity of the game, but I enjoyed the story and absolutely loved the battle system. The negative press surrounding [...]

The last time we saw Master Chief, he was placing himself in cryo after being marooned somewhere in deep space after saving the world. “Wake me if you need me” were his last words to Cortana as Halo 3 ended. In the teaser we got at E3 last year, Cortana was waking him out of [...]
